Adrienne1227.jpg
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Kim Richards may have checked into rehab after a dramatic season of eyebrow-raising behavior, but her co-stars, including the tough-as-nails Adrienne Maloof, have the troubled blonde?s back. ?I love Kim, and I think [rehab] is a step in a positive direction,? Adrienne told In Touch at the Lord & Taylor launch of her new shoe collection, Adrienne Maloof by Charles Jourdan, in New York. ?She?s a funny, lovely, beautiful girl, and I wish her the best!?

While a number of her on-screen pals are facing hardships (in addition to Kim?s stint in rehab, Taylor Armstrong recently lost her estranged husband, Russell, to suicide), happily married mogul Adrienne is on a personal and professional high, having just released her sexy footwear line. ?I?ve always been passionate about shoes. It?s something that came naturally to me,? she explained. ?It is any woman?s dream come true to be able to collaborate on a shoe collection.? Four pop divas released concert specials on Monday — just in time for Black Friday!

Music fans planning to burn off those post-Thanksgiving calories with some holiday shopping are in luck: Some of pop's biggest divas dropped live DVDs on Monday (November 21): Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Britney Spears all have concert specials out, just in time for your Black Friday wish list. Here, MTV News breaks down the four releases (and one more to watch out for).

Taylor Swift
Just as Taylor wraps up her Speak Now Tour this week, the American Music Award winner is releasing "Speak Now World Tour - Live." The 18-song DVD features Swift performing some of her biggest tracks during that arena-filling trek. And if that's not enough Taylor, there's also a 16-song CD that fans can snatch up. Beyoncé
Filmed over four shows in New York, weeks before B announced her pregnancy at the VMAs, the "Live at Roseland" DVD special shows the Queen B recounting some of the greatest moments of her career before launching into a nonstop live performance of her 4 album. It also includes behind-the-scenes footage that gives fans their first look at the wedding dress Beyoncé wore the day she married Jay-Z. Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is giving her little monsters a front row seat to her epic Monster Ball Tour. Filmed during stops at Madison Square Garden earlier this year, the concert originally aired on HBO and earned the pop star an Emmy. The DVD also includes previously unseen material that didn't make the final cut on HBO. In addition, Gaga is releasing a new album, Born This Way - The Remix, today.

Britney Spears
After debuting her Femme Fatale live concert special on Epix earlier this month, Spears is releasing the spectacle on DVD this week for those who may have missed it. Full of costume changes, swirling dance numbers and a sexy lap dance, this special is perfect for the Brit enthusiast. One to Pre-Order: Adele
A fifth diva will get into the game on Cyber Monday. On November 28, Adele drops her own concert special, "Live at the Royal Albert Hall." And given that it might be a while before the singer hits the road again (she's on the mend from throat surgery), the DVD will at least give fans a taste of Adele's live stage show. Share your concert DVD shopping picks in the comments section!

Miley Cyrus: Red Hot Bikini Babe

Showing off her trimmed slim figure, Miley Cyrus was spotted out on a lonely stroll down the beaches of Hawaii earlier this week (December 29).

The former Disney darling donned a red bikini top and jeans shorts, which quickly took off while unveiling her matching red bottoms on the Aloha State beach outing.

As previously reported by gossip Center, Ms. Cyrus spent the past week vacationing in the tropical locale with her actor boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

The couple has since returned to the states, as they arrived LAX airport in Los Angeles on Friday just ahead of the New Year's holiday.

Mary J. Blige Dishes On Her 'Crazy' Led Zeppelin Covers1633563

'I've listened to their music since I was a child,' says the R&B diva, who recorded 'Stairway to Heaven' and 'Whole Lotta Love.'
By James Montgomery, with reporting by Larry Carroll

You wouldn't peg Mary J Blige as the black-light-and-tapestry sort, but, as has become readily apparent in recent weeks, she absolutely loves Led Zeppelin. In early February, reports began circulating that Blige had re-recorded Zeppelin's classic "Stairway to Heaven," working with Travis Barker, "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson and guitarist Steve Vai on the track, which is slated to appear on the international reissue of her Stronger With Each Tear album, due Monday.

But after she had recorded "Stairway," Blige continued to get the Led out, covering another Zeppelin classic — the thunderous "Whole Lotta Love" — for the album too. And when MTV News caught up with her on the Essence Black Women in Hollywood red carpet, she told us all about channeling her inner Robert Plant for the tracks, a process that came much easier than you'd probably imagine. "I did Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway to Heaven' and 'Whole Lotta Love' — it's crazy," she said. "I am a Led Zeppelin fan. I'm not going to say I've been to their concerts, but I've listened to their music since I was a child, and it's always moved me, especially 'Stairway to Heaven,' and 'Whole Lotta Love' is just fun." Blige also said she recorded another new song — a "club record" called "I Can't Wait" — for the re-release. And while it's only slated to hit shelves outside the U.S., she hopes her fans will get a chance to hear all the new songs pretty soon. "I want y'all to hear it," she laughed.

Tom Cruise 'Impossible' To Beat At Box Office

'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol' easily wins #1 spot over long holiday weekend.
By Ryan J. Downey

This Christmas, Tom Cruise was "impossible" to beat at the box office.

"Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" was the #1 movie over the long holiday weekend, easily beating competition from two competing sequels with an additional $46.2 million as it expanded into wide release. The fourth entry in the Tom Cruise franchise, this one directed by Brad Bird ("The Incredibles"), has racked up $78.6 million in domestic receipts since it debuted in limited release 11 days ago.

"Ghost Protocol" is the best-reviewed entry in the franchise, which kicked off in 1996 with an inaugural film (based on the popular late '60s TV series) directed by Brian De Palma ("Scarface"). Action maestro John Woo ("The Killer") helmed "M:I 2" four years later. The J.J. Abrams-directed "Mission: Impossible III" grossed $134 million during its theatrical run in 2006.

Meanwhile, "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" was reviewed far less favorably than its 2009 predecessor. The film, which reunites Robert Downey Jr. in the title role with Jude Law as his faithful partner, Watson, was #2 at the box office with $31.8 million for a two-week total of $90.6 million. "Downey may think this interpretation is an insight, or funny, but it pushes what was already a rude rewriting of the classic characters into eye-rolling camp," wrote the Newark Star Ledger. The first film sits at 70 percent on film review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes' "Tomatometer," while "Game of Shadows" was at a "rotten" 59 percent at press time.

The #3 movie at the box office, itself the third in a series, continues a franchise-long tradition of poor reviews. "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" carried a series worst 13 percent score on the "Tomatometer" as it collected $20 million for an 11-day $56.9 million total. Neither "Game of Shadows" nor "Shipwrecked" appear likely to get anywhere near the $200 million grosses of their predecessors.

Four of the other five new releases in theaters were from major filmmakers.

"The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," the highly anticipated American adaptation of the popular Swedish book from director David Fincher ("Fight Club"), has made $27.7 million since it opened Tuesday night. Steven Spielberg has two new movies out, "The Adventures of Tintin" and "War Horse," which landed at #5 and #7 on the box office chart, respectively. "Tintin" has made $24.1 million while "War Horse" has made $15 million. The latest from director Cameron Crowe opened even lower than his last movie, "Elizabethtown." "We Bought a Zoo," at #6, earned just $15.6 million despite star power in the form of Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson. Rock journalist turned filmmaker Crowe has worked with box-office topper Tom Cruise twice: first with "Jerry Maguire" in 1996 and later with "Vanilla Sky" in 2001.

Finally, alien invasion horror flick "The Darkest Hour" opened at #8 with just $5.5 million. The film was not screened in advance for critics, but The Hollywood Reporter, which reviewed the movie, blamed a "flatlining screenplay and the absence of even a single compelling character."

Check out everything we've got on "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol."

Britney Spears spent the weekend celebrating her engagement to Jason Trawick in Las Vegas with friends and family. On Friday, hours after the news of their impending marriage was confirmed, the singer took to her Facebook page to make it official, changing her relationship status to "engaged."

She also shared with her fans on Twitter just how excited she is to be tying the knot with longtime boyfriend Trawick. "Still glowing!" she wrote. "About to jump on a plane to Planet Hollywood in Vegas. Throwing a Bday Party for Jason at Chateau Night Club. So fun. Xxoo. And celebrate they did. People.com reported that the couple and her two sons checked into Planet Hollywood before making their first public appearance since the news broke. Spears rocked not only a body-hugging Hervé Léger bandage dress, but also her Neil Lane engagement ring. The couple shared dinner and dancing at two Sin City hotspots, Sugar Factory's Chocolate Lounge and Paris' Chateau Nightclub. "Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life," she later wrote on Twitter. "Such an amazing time with my new fiance and our closest friends and family. #Blessed" While Spears was celebrating, her ex-husband Kevin Federline sent out his well-wishes. "I'm really happy for her — I think he's a great guy," he told TV Week magazine while filming the reality show "Excess Baggage" in Australia. "She's happy; she's doing really well. I want to say she's in a good place. I haven't spoken to her much since I've been over here, both of us have been busy with her being on tour, but I do know from talking to the kids and talking to the kids' teachers that they're doing really good. It's a good step in the right direction. I'm totally happy for her." And Federline doesn't seem to have any hard feelings toward Trawick. "He's a really good guy, I've heard a lot about him," he added. "I've spoken to him quite a few times as of now. He seems like a really good guy. The kids speak highly of him [and] her family loves him."

Share your well-wishes for Britney and Jason in the comments!

Best Live MTV Performances Of 20111675822

You — the fans — voted for your favorite performances of the year, from VMA spectacles to Buzzworthy sets.
By MTV News staff

As we continue our weeklong look back on the year in music — MTV kicked things off on Monday with a list of the Best EDM Artists of 2011 — it was hard not to notice that the biggest stars in pop, rock and hip-hop put on some of their most buzzed-about performances — right on our stages. From Adele's spine-tingling ballad at the VMAs to Two Door Cinema Club's rendition of the rollicking "What You Know" at Webster Hall, we culled 16 of the best performances of the last 12 months and you, the fans, voted for your favorites. Here, we present the top 10! 10. Odd Future, "Sandwitches," mtvU Woodie Awards
Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All Loiter Squad, or Odd Future, for short, were one of this year's breakthrough acts. And when they hit the stage for this year's mtvU Woodie Awards, it was clear why. The performance started out tame enough. Tyler, the Creator's "Yonkers" kicked in and a little person impersonating Tyler approached the stage. The calm didn't last long, though, as the real Wolf Haley emerged and confronted the pint-size imposter. From that moment on, the raw, rambunctious, rabid energy that got OF noticed took over as Tyler, Hodgy Beats and the rest of the group launched into an unforgettable performance of "Sandwitches." — Steven Roberts

9. Adele, "Someone Like You," VMAs
Some artists surround themselves with dozens of dancers, seizure-inducing banks of flashing lights and other tricks when they take the stage. But when it comes to Adele's take on the heartbreaking second single from 21 at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, all it took was a grand piano, a single spotlight and some emotive hand gestures. Perfect. — Gil Kaufman 8. Jack's Mannequin, "Release Me," Buzzworthy Live
It doesn't get much more epic than a stripped-down performance right above Times Square. Andrew McMahon of Jack's Mannequin did exactly that with his ode to growing up and settling down, "Release Me," for Buzzworthy's special live series. It's just McMahon, his shades and a piano, and we don't need much else. — Kevin P. Sullivan

7. Chris Brown, "Yeah 3X/ Beautiful People," VMAs
The white suit, the swagger, the strobing VMA stage and some gravity-defying aerial tricks are what defined Breezy's jaw-dropping dance clinic at this year's VMAs. His high-stepping kung fu waltz through Wu-Tang Clan, head-banging ode to Nirvana and mid-air flips again showed that Brown is at his best on an awards-show stage. — G.K. 6. Lil Wayne, "Nightmares of the Bottom," MTV2 "Unplugged"
For his MTV2 "Unplugged" debut in June, Birdman Jr. took the stage wearing a black sweatshirt, black sunglasses and a red fitted baseball cap. Backed by a full band, Wayne launched into his catalog of hits, taking the crowd to musical heights. But one highlight in particular was the MC's premiere of "Nightmares of the Bottom," an instant smash-in-the-making that details Wayne's rise to the top and unwillingness to fail. — Rob Markman 5. Two Door Cinema Club, "What You Know," New York
To say it was a big year for Two Door Cinema Club, the indie-rock group out of Northern Ireland, would be an enormous understatement. The band toured the U.S. for the first time, opening for Tokyo Police Club, and debuted on the American alternative charts with "What You Know." Two Door Cinema played the song at an MTV Hive-hosted performance at the Studio at Webster Hall. The screaming NYC fans seemed to approve. — K.S.

4. Beyoncé, VMAs
At this year's MTV Video Music Awards, Beyoncé hit the stage in a sparkly tux and a glowing smile that never faded as — in typical Sasha Fierce fashion — she worked the crowd. From the effervescent single "Love on Top" (from her critically acclaimed 4) to her nod to the Motown era, the performance was ebullient. But it was the very last moment in her set that ensured it would go down in the VMA annals. Mrs. Carter, with a little hip-hop swagger, dropped the mic, opened her jacket and revealed an adorable baby bump. Leave it to the Queen B to rock the house, make headlines and set Twitter records all at once. — Andrea Duncan-Mao

3. Mac Miller, "Knock Knock," Chicago
Mac Miller's live performance of "Knock Knock" in Chicago is a pretty good peek at what you're in for at one of his concerts: very little gravity, a lot of movement and fans who could easily understudy for the rapper because they know every word to every track. And it's the Pittsburgh 19-year-old's pumped-up, feel-good presence that helped him land on another coveted list this year: MTV News' Hottest Breakthrough MC contest. — Rya Backer 2. Paramore, "Brick by Boring Brick," "Fueled by Ramen 15"
Paramore are living proof that you can go home again and, in the process, rock so hard that fans will vote you to the #2 position on MTV's list. Clearly psyched to be rocking the stage as headliners for FBR's anniversary event in September, the band's take on "Brick by Boring Brick" was typical high-energy Paramore goodness. Bassist Jeremy Davis and guitarist Taylor York spun and lunged around the stage as singer Hayley Williams looked shot out of a canon, bouncing and pumping her fists as she let the audience handle the first verse of the tune. Williams took over the vocals soon enough in her breathless best, leaving enough space for the sweaty, ardent fans to chime in at strategic points. — Gil Kaufman 1. 30Seconds to Mars, "Hurricane," "Unplugged"
30 Seconds to Mars' award for the Best Live MTV Performance of 2011 comes on the heels of a globe-spanning, record-setting tour. And Just as they did at the group's closing show in New York, the Echelon demonstrated their devotion to the band ... by voting in force. 30STM's poll-winning "Unlugged" performance of "Hurricane" features acoustic guitars and Jared Leto's sparse vocals, but it also comes backed by a stirring string ensemble. The mood inside the studio is undeniably somber but, like pretty much everything 30STM do, there's a raging, revelatory undercurrent too. Their performance is very much a communal thing, one where a celebration never seems all that far off. — James Montgomery All this week, watch "AMTV" on MTV every day at 8 a.m. ET for our Best of 2011 lists. Then, come to MTVNews.com at 5 p.m. as we reveal our top picks of the year!

Kid Cudi 'Broke Down' Over Fan Ben Breedlove's Death

Teenager who posted YouTube videos about his heart condition died on Christmas Day.
By Andrea Duncan-Mao

Photo: MTV News

Kid Cudi wrote on his blog that he "broke down" over the death of Ben Breedlove, an 18-year-old fan from Austin, Texas, who suffered a fatal heart attack on Christmas Day.

Cudi heard about Breedlove after a pair of YouTube videos the fan made went viral before his death. In the videos, Breedlove silently holds up cards that tell the story of living with a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which is a disease that causes the heart muscles to enlarge, making it difficult to pump blood properly. He says he "cheated death" three times: the most recent time in early December when EMTs used shock pads on his chest after his heart stopped. He described a vision of being in a white room and being with his "favorite rapper, Kid Cudi" wearing white suits and feeling "happy and peaceful" and he "couldn't stop smiling." He ended his videos with a card that read "Do you believe in God and angels? I do."

After watching the videos, Kid Cudi wrote: "I am so sad about Ben Breedlove. I watched the video he left for the world to see, and him seeing me in detail, in his vision really warmed my heart. I broke down, I am to tears because I hate how life is so unfair. This has really touched my heart in a way I cant describe, this is why I do what I do."

Cudi went on to say, "To Ben's family, you raised a real hero, he's definitely mine. You have my love."

Breedlove's parents released an obituary in the Austin American-Statesman on Thursday (December 29) referencing the videos and writing, "Now the world has come to know our Ben. He was a genius at using the Internet to reach and influence his peers. ... In the weeks prior to his death, he had faced some scary situations with his health, but had been given an amazing gift that he was determined to share; first with us, his family, and then, not surprisingly (and generously) with his YouTube audience."

Lady Gaga To Help Drop New Year's Ball In Times Square

Mother Monster was named Mayor Bloomberg's special guest for the annual celebration.
By James Montgomery

Back in May, ahead of the release of her Born This Way album, Lady Gaga described her hometown of New York City as her "husband," and now, she's been tapped to help her spouse ring in the New Year in the most traditional of ways: by dropping the ball in Times Square.

Yes, according to The New York Post, Mayor Michael Bloomberg has named Gaga as his special guest at the City's annual New Year's Eve celebration, where she'll ceremoniously push a Waterford Crystal button at 11:59 p.m., officially beginning the famed crystal ball's descent over the raucous Times Square crowd.

Shortly after the official announcement was made, Gaga took to her Twitter account to express her excitement, writing "I'm so looking forward to ... dropping the Ball with Mayor Bloomberg! What an honor as a New Yorker!"

Each year, Bloomberg chooses a guest to drop the ball and help usher in the New Year ... though, to date, Gaga is his most, uh, unique pick: previous honorary button-mashers have included Bill and Hillary Clinton, Colin Powell, Muhammad Ali and Rudy Giuliani.

Of course, dropping the Times Square Ball — which this year is bedazzled with 2,688 Waterford Crystal triangles and carries the theme of "Let There Be Friendship" — isn't Gaga's only New Year's Eve gig. She'll also perform at two NYE celebrations: the 40th annual "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" and, of course, the Japanese program "Kohaku Uta Gassen."

MTV will also be throwing a New Year's Eve party of its own: "NYE in NYC 2010," a performance-packed special featuring Demi Lovato, Mac Miller, Selena Gomez, J. Cole, Jason Derülo and more. It all goes down live on MTV at 11 p.m. ET on Saturday (December 31) from Times Square.

Will you be watching the ball drop this New Year's Eve? Let us know in the comments below!

'The Adventures of Tintin': The Reviews Are In!

Film has been wildly successful overseas, but critics wonder if it's worth the hype.
By Kevin P. Sullivan

"The Adventures of Tintin"
Photo: Paramount

It has already made a killing overseas, but now it's time for "The Adventure of Tintin" to make a splash in the States. Though not as widely known in the U.S., Tintin has the help of two of today's most popular filmmakers, director Steven Spielberg and producer Peter Jackson.

The reviews are generally positive for "The Adventures of Tintin," with 75 percent of critics' approval, according to RottenTomatoes.com. We've taken our own sampling of the critical response, so here's a rundown on what they have to say.

The Story
" 'The Adventures of Tintin' derives mainly from three World War II-era books, 'The Crab With the Golden Claws,' 'The Secret of the Unicorn' and 'Red Rackham's Treasure.' These titles mean a great deal to Tintin's European fan base — the film has already made close to a quarter-billion dollars overseas — and less so to the average American multiplex visitor. The script, by Steven Moffat and the team of Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish follows Tintin (who looks either 12, 22 or somewhere in between) and his faithful dog Snowy as they come into possession of a model sailing ship, the Unicorn, containing a clue to the whereabouts of a vast treasure. Kidnapped and bundled on board a steamship commanded by the career alcoholic Capt. Haddock, our boy-man hero becomes the pawn in an age-old duel between Haddock, a good old sot, and the sinister Sakharine." — Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune

The Performance Capture
"I'm not one of those people with a knee-jerk disdain for motion capture (I enjoyed 'The Polar Express' and loved Jim Carrey in 'A Christmas Carol'), but in 'Tintin,' the technique that renders all that movement so flowing and frictionless also makes the characters come off as if their souls were made of sponge. Is this the 'uncanny valley' — the much-discussed phenomenon whereby motion-capture characters look just human enough so that what's missing from their eyes is subtly disquieting?" — Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly

The 3-D
"I was surprised by how much I enjoyed myself. Spielberg not only uses 3-D but bases his story on one of Europe's most beloved comic characters. The 3-D he pulls off, just as Scorsese did in 'Hugo,' because he employs it as an enhancement to 2-D instead of an attention-grabbing gimmick." — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

The Actors
"If the mocap technique falls somewhere between live-action and animated moviemaking, the same goes for the performances, which are altogether fluid yet sometimes (especially in certain dialogue-heavy sequences) give the impression of watching a very realistic video game with the sound turned up a few thousand notches. [Andy] Serkis ('King Kong,' 'The Lord of the Rings') nonetheless manages to turn Haddock into what will surely be the trilogy's most memorable personage, while [Jamie] Bell ('Billy Elliot') makes Tintin about as interesting as he can be, which is to say sometimes less so than his dog." — Jordan Mintzer, The Hollywood Reporter

The Final Word
"Though the acting is uniformly strong, the story just isn't engrossing, particularly for those not familiar with Tintin comics. There are a few spectacular scenes, such as a biplane flying into a lightning storm and a crash-landing in the Sahara, but the thrills are sporadic. Chases abound but none is breathtaking. ... The much-publicized collaboration between producer Peter Jackson and Spielberg sets high expectations. But while the technical artistry is there, the film lacks a sense of magic, intrigue and mystery." — Claudia Puig, USA Today

'Dragon Tattoo' Star Rooney Mara Says Role Was 'Internal Experience'

Fans of the novel wondered if Mara could live up to Noomi Rapace's 2009 portrayal of Lisbeth Salander.
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Photo: MTV News

When Rooney Mara was cast as Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher's big-screen adaptation of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," fans of novelist Stieg Larsson's best-selling franchise immediately wondered if she could fill the shoes once worn by Noomi Rapace in a 2009 film version of the novels.

Even when Mara saw those films, months before she auditioned for the role, she wondered the same thing.

"I saw [the Danish movie] before I ever read the books. And I think she's incredible," Mara told MTV News at the junket for the film, which opened Tuesday. "I left that movie thinking 'I can't do that, I don't even want to try doing that.' "

However, a turning point came for Mara when she finally picked up the novels. "And then whenever I read the books I had a different interpretation of the character," she said. "And then I felt like I had to do it. I couldn't imagine my life without doing it."

Mara had to physically transform herself into the tatted and pierced hacker from the books, emotionally battered but physically strong. While she could have reached out to Rapace for advice on how to get into that headspace, she opted to go it alone.

"You know, I think this is such an internal character and I think playing it is such an, it's sort of an internal experience," she explained. "Even though I felt so supported, it's really something you have to go through on your own. So I don't think we would have much to talk about 'cause it's sort of your own quiet experience."

The flick also features Daniel Craig, Stellan Skarsgård, Christopher Plummer and Robin Wright. It's been garnering high critical praise for its director and cast.

Solange, Her Boo Alan, & Son Julez Get Cutesy For A Wedding

Solange is showing off some uber cute and artsy pics from a wedding she recently attended...and called it the most beautiful wedding weekend ever.  Pics of her, her boyfriend Alan, and her multilingual son Juelz, inside....

Solange Knowles loves going against the grain with her fashion looks.  And we love every bit of it.  She posted pics on her blog today from friends' wedding a few months ago.  She didn't state exactly where it was at, but the pics scream nature and she also talked about spending a month in Paris this summer (where she said Juelz's French speaking skills saved them numerous times) and also visited Morocco and Miami afterwards.

Check the rest of her colorful pics with her vintage style we're loving:

Fab.

Loves the baroque style shades.

She also revelaed she's at the finish line of completing her new album.  Can't wait to hear it...

By the way, yes we've heard about the alleged rumors from non-credible sources saying Beyonce is ready to give birth any moment/any day now at a certain Upeer East Side NY hospital.  And no, we don't beleive it all...yet.

Mark Wahlberg: I'm a Belieber!

He?s a draw everywhere he goes, so it makes sense that as a director, Mark Wahlberg is calling on Justin Bieber.

In a recent interview with MTV News, the ?Four Brothers? actor revealed the real reason why he wants to give the ?One Time? singer a chance at acting.

?I see the guy and spent time with him, and you see what he does and how he does it, and then you actually have a conversation with him, and it?s there,? Wahlberg told.

Thinking ahead to working with the Biebs, Mark added, ?It?s there ? and if not, I will extract it.?

The duo?s plans have yet to be announced but it sounds like a project is in the works for the near future.

Where Will Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga Party On New Year's?

From New York to L.A., celebs have plans to ring in 2012 with a bang.

New Year's Eve is the last chance you'll have to party in 2011. And as the days to plan out your big night begin to dwindle, MTV News is rounding up some of the biggest parties on the planet. From Los Angeles to New York, there's something for everyone.

The Kardashians will be hosting several parties all over Las Vegas. Kim will be at Tao (for a fee of reportedly $600,000), Kourtney, along with the Madden Brothers, will party it up at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris while Rob has it on lock at Tryst.

Other big Sin City parties include Chris Brown's shindig at Pure, Mary J. Blige's bash at RPM Nightclub, Bruno Mars at The Bank and B.o.B at LAX (the club, not the airport). Fergie and will.i.am will both be in Vegas to ring in 2012. The Black Eyed Peas' leading lady will be at 1Oak, while will.i.am be DJing at Surrender. Professional party rockers LMFAO will be shufflin' all night long at Haze Nightclub at Aria. Newly engaged John Legend will perform at the Palms with T-Pain and Paul Oakenfold.

As celeb-filled as it may seem, not all the stars will be in Vegas. In Los Angeles, Mario Lopez is hosting a party at Hollywood & Highland that boasts performances by Lupe Fiasco and Cobra Starship. And in Chicago, "American Idol" alum Lee DeWyze will be at the Hard Rock Hotel with DJ Chris Kennedy (Chris Masterson) spinning tunes. Kanye West's plans have yet to be determined, but he recently tweeted he's looking for a place to DJ right into 2012. We're sure someone will find a place for him at their party.

New York is the home of all things New Year's. Lady Gaga has been booked to perform on two NYE specials: the 40th annual "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" and the Japanese program "Kohaku Uta Gassen."

For those who want to snuggle up on their couch and avoid all the partying madness, MTV has your back. This year Demi Lovato, Mac Miller, Selena Gomez, J. Cole, Jason Derulo and more will be on hand for "NYE in NYC 2012," which will air live at 11 p.m. ET on Saturday (December 31) from Times Square, where the famous ball drops on, you guessed it, MTV.

What are your New Year's Eve plans? Let us know in the comments!

After taking her tour around the world, Britney Spears wrapped up the elaborate Femme Fatale trek on Saturday in Puerto Rico.

But before she took the stage, Spears celebrated her big 3-0 with a party on Friday night. The belated birthday bash took place a week after her December 2 birthday. The pop star tweeted all about the party, giving fans a picture of her blowing out the candles on her elaborate, multitiered birthday cake. "Having an amazing time at my end of tour/ belated bday party!" she wrote on Twitter on Saturday. "Thx so much to the Conrad Condado Plaza for giving us a place to celebrate this tour & my 30th bday last night - we all loved the party!" But the fun hardly ended with the party. For her final performance of the Femme Fatale shows the following day, Spears was joined by some of her family and friends onstage. "That's a wrap! The Femme Fatale tour is officially over :( Gotta give some end of tour shout outs," she tweeted, before showing some online love to her pals. "To [my assistant] Brett [Miller] and her fierce dance moves! She surprised me on stage tonight during 'Big Fat Bass.' To all my dancers - u all are basically family. Thx so much for an unforgettable year! Look at this good looking group. To every single INCREDIBLE person on my crew - none of this would of been possible without you. I'm gonna miss u!" Britney saved her ultimate Twitter thank-you for all her devotees. "And last but DEFINITELY not least - to all of the amazing fans who I saw on this journey around the world," she wrote. "<3 u all." For the final bow of the tour, Spears was joined by her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, her beau Jason Trawick, sister Jamie Lynn and JL's daughter, Maddie, as she said goodbye to life as a femme fatale, Radaronline.com reports. In addition to all the stage love from those closest to her, Spears was also joined by San Juan tour opener Pauly D. She thanked him by giving him one of her signature mid-show lap dances during "Lace and Leather." It wasn't the first time for the tourmates: Spears had awarded him one once before when he opened for her on a number of dates on a previous leg of the tour.

While in Manhattan, she stopped by Trixie + Peanut, a designer pet boutique also loved by celebrity pet owners like Tori Spelling, Drew Barrymore and Uma Thurman. The 23-year-old singer picked a Grrona Beer Bottle, Classic Chewy Vuiton Handbag, an iBone and lots of other toys. Joe Bodolai, Former SNL Writer, Dies at 63

Former Saturday Night Live staff writer Joe Bodolai has died in an apparent suicide. His body was discovered yesterday by a cleaning crew at an L.A. hotel.

Law enforcement sources say Bodolai, who wrote several Wayne's World sketches for SNL as well as the movie, had been staying there more than a week.

A mixture of anti-freeze and Gatorade may have done him in, TMZ reports.

Bodolai also had posted what appears to be a suicide note on December 23 on his blog, titled, "If This Was Your Last Day Alive What Would You Do?"

He goes on to describe some of the things he remembers, and laments.

In the note, Bodolai writes about "Stuff I Would Like to Have Seen In My Life" such as the Browns winning the Super Bowl and the "truth" about JFK.

The 63-year-old also lists "Things I Regret" such as "My inability to conquer alcoholism" followed by "The things I did because of it." Very sad.

He also lists "Things I Am Proud Of" - family members, his time as an SNL staff writer and "writing the first draft of Wayne’s World with Mike Myers."

Bodolai concludes his apparent sign-off to the world with this: "May you all have the happy lives you deserve. Thank you all for being in my life."

New Oregon Football Uniforms: Darth Vader Suits Up For the Rose Bowl!

The Force is strong with Oregon's latest football uniforms, but can the galactic empire shut down Wisconsin's ground game? We shall find out January 2.

The school, whose Nike Pro Combat gear claims to be the most advanced football uniform system in the world, is ready to do battle in the Rose Bowl.

Most advanced? Debatable. Most frequently changing, terrifying and hilarious? Yes.

New Oregon Football UniformsNew Oregon UniformsOregon Football Uniform

With Nike CEO and Oregon alum Phil Knight introducing new versions more often than we can count, the Ducks' uniforms are always a hot college football topic.

Their new, Darth Vader-esque iteration allegedly features 11 different synthetic materials within the jersey and pants alone, and 16 in the complete uniform.

None of which could shut down Matt Barkley a few weeks back. Just saying.

To help identify your favorite Ducks, the new unis include larger, bolder numbers with an iridescent sheen similar to that of Vader's cape a mallard's feathers.

No word if the tinted, all-black visor also features a James Earl Jones voice modulator.

Janet Jackson ROCKS FUR In Times Square, Named PETA'S Grinch Of The Year + Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol LEADS The Box Office With $26.5 million

Janet Jackson, who's rocking Blackglama fur on a new billboard in Times Square, was dubbed PETA's "Grinch of the Year for 2011."  Get the deets inside and find out how Paula Patton's MI3 flick stacked up at the box office.

Though Janet Jackson looks fabulous on her new Blackglama billboard in Times Square, she's pissed off the folks at PETA.

The group named her Grinch of the Year for 2011 for her work with Blackglama.  PETA released this statement saying,

Well.....I think Ms. Jackson looks radiant in her ad.

And in movie news.....

Paula Patton and Tom Cruise lead the box office this week with their Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol taking the top spot with $26.5 million in ticket sales.  Halle Berry and Ludacris made the list too as their flick New Year's Evebrought in a respectable $3M.
