Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' wedding was the over-the-top, camera-ready celebration that everyone expected. But the bride and groom's wedding vows were surprisingly intimate and sweet, showing all the haters that their love truly is for real!
The Humphries family's pastor, Joel Johnson, conducted the ceremony, joking, "This is no mere wedding event!" as he began. And though Kim and Kris opted for traditional vows, Johnson shared touching stories as proof of their love.
At one point, Johnson recalled that in the days before the wedding, he asked Kim and Kris to tell him the thing they each loved most about each other. Kim called Kris "the yin to her yang," describing how he brings calm to her life and brings out her fun side. Kris, on the other hand, said that he loves Kim for her compassion and the bonds she has with her family. The first time they met, Kris said, she couldn't stop talking about them!
The ceremony ended with a traditional Christian prayer and Kim and Kris topped things off with a kiss before heading over to the reception tent, where they partied for almost five hours, before cops shut down the bash near midnight.
And it's already back to work for super-mogul Kim. Instead of taking a honeymoon, she'll already be filming for Kourtney & Kim Take New York this week.
